The forex market runs 24 hours, five days a week, across four major sessions. See which one is open right now, in your own timezone.
Not all trading hours are equal. The market is most active — and spreads are usually tightest — when two big sessions overlap, especially London + New York (roughly 13:00–17:00 UTC). The quiet hours after New York closes and before Tokyo opens often see thin, choppy moves.
For most pairs, the London and New York sessions carry the volume that beginners should focus on. Trade when the market is awake, not when you happen to be bored.
Times shown are standard UTC windows and shift by an hour during daylight saving in some regions. The status above is calculated from your device clock, so it follows your timezone automatically.
